The assailants, described as masked and armed with guns and assault rifles, reportedly opened fire on the vehicle as the driver attempted to reverse to safety. Players and technical staff abandoned the bus and fled into nearby bushes to escape the gunfire. The injured player is currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital, with arrangements underway for a transfer to a regional medical facility for further care.
