Amin Adam: I Back Afoko's Chairmanship Bid

Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, former Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for the Karaga Constituency, endorsed Mr. Awentami Paul Afoko's bid for the National Chairmanship position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) when a delegation of NPP leaders and national executive aspirants paid a courtesy call on him at his private residence. Dr. Amin Adam declared, "I support Paul Afoko for National Chairman."

Dr. Amin Adam described Mr. Afoko as an experienced leader capable of repositioning the party and leading it back to power. He stated that the NPP, now in opposition, requires competent and experienced leadership to rebuild its structures and prepare for future electoral victory. Dr. Amin Adam believes Mr. Afoko possesses the leadership qualities needed to help the NPP regain power, citing their previous working relationship and his first-hand knowledge of Mr. Afoko's leadership and organisational abilities. He also noted that Mr. Afoko "can also help raise funds for the party because we need money as a party in opposition." Mr. Afoko has embarked on a nationwide campaign anchored on what he describes as the 3Rs Agenda - Reunite, Rebuild and Return the NPP to power.
