Alleged robber mistakenly shot by accomplice hauled before court
Emmanuel Kwaku Amanor, also known as High Sense Price, was hauled before the Adentan Circuit Court after being accidentally shot in the thigh by an accomplice on June 12, 2026, at the Agbogba Junction Filling Station. He has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and attempted robbery, to which he pleaded not guilty. Amanor was remanded into lawful custody.
Prosecutor Chief Inspector Jacob Nyarko stated that Amanor, a barber, conspired with Eugene Kwabena Kweisi, also known as Trouble, and Isalah Kwesi Nartey, alias Poison, to rob workers at the filling station. The prosecution said they armed themselves with machetes, knives, and a pump-action gun, arriving at about 2300 hours. Amanor ordered pump attendant Evans Keampah to surrender the day's sales, and Kwesi then pointed the pump-action gun at him but accidentally discharged it, striking Amanor. Kwesi and Nartey allegedly fled on a motorcycle, leaving Amanor behind. Witnesses alerted the police, who arrested Amanor and took him to the Police Hospital for treatment. In his caution statement, Amanor admitted conspiring with his accomplices to rob the filling station. Amanor's mother, Faustina Deyon, was charged with harbouring a criminal and granted bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 with three sureties, ordered to report weekly to the investigator. The case has been adjourned to September 14, 2026, for a case management conference.
