Aduana family reaffirms loyalty to Okyenhene, rejecting a 'breakaway' claim. The principal elders and kingmakers of the Aduana family in Etwereso and Osenase have dismissed claims that the Odau group has broken away from the Akyem Abuakwa State, describing the declaration as fraudulent. Kwabena Aniagyei, Head of the Aduana family in Osenase, reaffirmed the family's allegiance to the Ofori Panin Stool and its occupant, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin.
The family urged members of the Aduana family and the general public to disregard what they described as a false claim of independence. According to them, Osei Afrifa, who made the declaration, is not a member of the Aduana family and has no authority to speak on its behalf. Opanyin Aniagyei stated, "He is an imposter and not part of our family in Etwereso or Osenase". The family rejected assertions that the Odau group predates Akyem Abuakwa, insisting that historical records show they sought refuge within the Akyem Abuakwa State centuries ago. They maintained that their allegiance to the Ofori Panin Stool remains intact and cannot be altered by any individual or group, stressing, "No chief or person can sever what has been bound by custom and ancestry."
The elders disassociated themselves from any actions or statements seeking to create division, warning that such moves could have serious consequences if not addressed. The family will take appropriate legal steps against Osei Afrifa. Steps will be taken, both legally and traditionally, to resolve the matter and determine the fate of individuals involved in what they described as divisive conduct.
