The rescue operation, led by the Police Service's Special Operations Team in collaboration with the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), is ongoing. The Korle-Klottey Municipal NADMO Director said the situation is overwhelming, but assured that efforts are underway to rescue all affected persons. He also urged residents to remain calm and follow safety instructions as emergency teams continue their operations.

Floodwaters were reported in low-lying areas and along key arterial roads, with vehicles moving slowly through submerged sections while some motorists were forced to abandon flooded routes.
