24 suspects arrested in Bono during security agencies operation
Twenty-four suspects were arrested on March 21, 2026, in the Bono Region during a joint dawn operation by Ghana's security agencies. The operation, which occurred at about 0320 hours, led to the retrieval of weapons and other items, including 790 rounds of AAA and BB cartridges, five pump-action guns, one Baikal gun, two locally manufactured guns, and one AK-47 ammunition. Other items retrieved were 21 machetes, six swords, four bayonets, assorted mobile phones, motorbikes, body armours, military apparel, and talismans.
